Is there a risk for staff or students due to data theft?

All staff and students should check their work computers and laptops with an up-to-date antivirus program. Please make sure that you are not simultaneously connected to the internal UDE network and the Internet as you do so. Then you can use your computer. If you do discover malware, please go to the ZIM with your computer.

Can staff continue to use end devices like work laptops and work mobile phones? Do you need to do anything special? Can these devices be used on your WiFi network at home?

Are the Imperia servers (web and development servers, media database) affected? Could the respective work computer have been affected by using these?

The UDE website is not available. We believe it is unlikely that your computer could have been infected through this path when the website could still be accessed. Can I use printers/projectors? Can certain research equipment not be used?

You can use everything internally as long as the relevant device is not simultaneously connected to the Internet (e.g. via a hotspot or a SIM card).

Could Moodle provide us a new platform temporarily so that we can give students access to the most important PDFs?

A new platform is not currently being considered as Moodle is still available on the internal network. All users must therefore be on campus in order to upload or download learning material.

What communication strategies are recommended within teams (e.g. Teams, Zoom)? Can these programs be used without any problems?

Yes, as long as you are not connected to the internal UDE network and the Internet simultaneously. If you are working from home, this is no problem.

Can the systems that are still working be used (e.g. Sciebo, MS Office, Sharepoint, Teams)?
